Please reject this proposal. We have development and zoning by-laws for a reason and changes like these should not be permitted. I heartily object to this development proposal.

Thanking in advance our elected officials in Town Council for expectation that you will fulfil your stated duties and obligations to "represent the public and to consider the well-being and interests of the municipality". Do the right thing here, and respect the Collingwood Official Plan by REJECTING the Glow Application.
Really quite surprising that valuable resources of Town Council and Staff are being spent on a clearly unacceptable application. The Developer proposes a density level that is more than 300% greater than what this environmentally sensitive area is permitted to be zoned for....oh, and no provision for any park land! Let's focus on the environment of our beautiful Town, and the health and safety of its taxpayer residents. The book needs to be closed on any further consideration of this Twin Tower "mistake by the lake" proposal.

The need for more housing should not mean that builders have green light to build high density buildings in areas that are not zoned for it, in order to maximize profit, with no regards for concerns of current and future residents.

Positive gradual intensification is needed with adequate transition to the surrounding area. This development is out of scale, and will jeopardize the harmony of the community and the environment. Infrastructure will be impacted negatively, traffic congestion will be heightened causing safety concerns. This proposal should be rejected and a lower density proposal with adequate green space and outdoor amenities "only" should be considered. Do not allow the hasty provincial directive toward high density to override effective public consultation and concerns from the existing community being heard!

The proposed building of 195 condos @ a height of 6 stories is too dense for the size of the lot. There is no space for those who live there to walk … we DON’T want them @ Lighthouse Point Walking dogs and using our facilities either. We are not open to the public !!

I believe there is no rational reason to allow a density anywhere near what is proposed. I will just expand on one issue, that of traffic, parking and related safety concerns. There is insignificant driveway space and parking spots for the number of units. This will be a particular problem in winter. The developer acknowledges that "Due to limited space..... For large snow events, snow will need to be removed off site. " This implies that until the snow is trucked off site, which can take the better part of a day after a major snow fall, there will be even less space available for cars. At peak times in winter, there will be no physical room for cars and there is a high probability that cars will be parked on a very busy Hwy. 26. This will create a significant safety hazard, all within a short distance of a school. The Pretty River Academy is located only meters from the proposed Glow development. The only solution to this very real safety issue is to dramatically reduce the density allowed.

Who will pay for the extra security needed to stop Glow residents from invading our property at all times of the day? - dog walkers, joggers, swimmers, sight seers, etc.
