Why does this developer feel that Glow should not be bound by the rules and limitations on all other developments in Collingwood are bound by? Ridiculous request on density, traffic mayhem, no parkland (instead an attempt to buy its way out of the requirement) excessive height, insufficient parking. Rather than discussing this proposal further the developed should be sent packing and told to come back with a proposal that complies with existing laws and prescriptions. If Collingwood allows this it will be more evidence of a runaway developer sanctuary!!

There is no place for this type of density in our town. Definitely should not be permitted.

I am concerned about the lack of regard for planning and development bylaws as well as the impact of increased density on water quality and on flora and fauna.

This extremely high-density, 6-story (7 with mechanical penthouse) project would be another scaring of the Collingwood landscape. As it stands, there are serious issues with it, some of which extend well beyond its property line. Therefore the current plan should not be approved.

It’s a wetland - they are vital and important. Not a place to build condos.

I would like to vote against allowing such a high density development to be built on such a small piece of land and one that contains environmentally sensitive wetlands.

The Town of Collingwood needs to start focusing on a future vision for these areas as a whole instead of accepting proposals that work in isolation of the surrounding property, the environment and a long-term vision.

This is not the type of broth we need on the beautiful protected waterfront of Collingwood. It starts a very dangerous precedent!

In addition to environmental concerns, the prospect of such highly increased traffic flow on HWY 26 is unimaginable, since it is already extremely busy. It would be a shame if town council prostitutes itself for the sake of dollars. We will never forgive those elected officials if they allow this development to proceed outside the currently permitted density.

This Glow project is not appropriate for this area. Dentist concerns and anticipated trespassing concerns for Lighthouse Point residents needs to be advocated by our elected officials.

This site is “landlocked” by Hwy 26. Residence will have to drive to go anywhere. With no green space or amenities they will have drive to walk, gym visit, tennis/pickle ball, swim, shopping, etc. This project is good for developers and no one else.

Past decisions on development of this are were made with a purpose clearly stated in the comments adjacent to this petition. Commitments by elected officials are expected to be consistent, even after election.
We call upon our city council to decline the Glow Application as it stands and protect this area environmentally, socially, for safety and responsibly.
Tragedy in the making
