High Density Glow in Collingwood

as council members it's time to do what the residents want to save this community from over population

Collingwood, should not allow tall building by the waterfront!

Official Plans are prepared so complex decisions are made in advance in keeping with the whole nature of a community. Raising the density and loosening the environmental protections in violation of the Plan for 'Glow' are unacceptable. Deny this proposal.

This large complex will make it impossible to turn onto 26 as well as compromise our property with noise, services and security.

My goodness... this Glow Application is an unconscionably absurd proposal. I adamantly object to it.

We do not want this hi density development

The density on this property is extreme and no outdoor recreation amenities are provided which they will most definitely want.

I understand that people need housing, but I also feel that people need green space and recreation. Space . we need both.

This potential development seems ti circumvent several environmental/ traffic / city of Collingwood density guidelines at the very least. Please reconsider this with future enjoyment if residents and the environmental stability of the errands and our beloved Georgian Bay Area.

I respectfully request that Collingwood Town Council reject the current application of Mississauga based developer VMK Capital Inc. (the “Developer”) regarding the proposed high density development application for Glow Condominiums (the “Glow Application”).

As a long time resident of LightHouse Point of Unit 795 near the proposed Glow development, I am opposed to the height of the buildings being proposed. The owner/devloper is proposing a density of 222 units per hectares. The Collingwood Officail Plan for high density developments only permits 100 units. The proposed development is requesting 2 to 3 times the density permitted under the Official Plan. Please restrict this development to the density permitted by the existing Offial Plan! Thank you. I let my Golden Retriever go swimming in the Bay a few weekends ago. He was sick for 2 days. Its never happened before. This is only the beginning if this type of irresponsible over-development is allowed to continue in Collingwood/The Blue Mountains.

After hearing the Light House Point owners’ discussion with a well-recognized expert in this domain concerning the VMK Capital Inc. Glow Development and Exception Application, I find it to be in material violation of environmental and safety rules, objectives and principles. My principal objections are: the record density request; the material environmental impact on the wetland area and wildlife; the excessive building height; the lack of planning with respect to the certainty of increased traffic and traffic danger, especially given the already well-known current problems in these regards; and the cash payment in lieu of any Parkland, despite knowledge of Town Council's position on this issue. As such, I do not find this to be an Application and Exemption Application made with any consideration of anyone, or any matter, other than VMK’s own interest. Sander H. Gibson, Chartered Arbitrator

I am seriously AGAINST the over development of our beautiful town. We do NOT need building of towers. We need to keep our wetlands safe.

We support environmentally sensitive appropriate density development on the portion of the property available for development not this super density request. Keep Collingwood beautiful!
