Hidden Valley Lake Water Moratorium

I agree that the water moratorium should be lifted for me as a lot owner, property tax payee, HVLA maintenance fee payee.

Housing in Hidden Valley Lake is cheaply priced compared to most of the State. With the State in a housing crisis, lifting this moratorium would allow for a considerable amount of reasonably priced housing to be built.

Please lift this moritorium. I have paid fees on my lot for 20 years and feel like i deserve a reasonable appreciation on my investment. That is not going to happen with this out dated drought era moritorium in place. Keith Garlock

we in Lake County are requesting the lifting of the moratorium. It doesn't make sense to limit our water in the County that suffers the most from wildfires. We deserve the right to build on our properties and improve them. We are held hostage.

I bought my lot more than 10 years ago with the thought of building my retirement once I reach my retirement age. Well now, I am less than a year before retirement age with no place to go because I cannot build my house. The State agencies are truly hurting plain people, many retirees who just want to have an affordable place to live. The State approved this development decades ago. Please, lift this Moratorium now. It has lasted several years.

I guess my husband and I have been in the dark about this issue. I just read that in October 2014, the State Water Resources Control Board ordered the HVL Community Services District to stop allowing new service connections to its water system due to concerns that, under current drought conditions, the District did not have enough water to meet future demands. If this is so, then maybe us lot owners should not have had to pay assessments at HVL since 2014. What good is paying yearly assessments, property taxes, weed abatement fees, if we can never build on our property? No one would want to even consider buying a lot here. Well, we have had plenty of rain and are currently no longer in a drought, so this HVL Water Moratorium should end now! My parents purchased a lake front lot back in the early 70's when Boise Cascade had taken over from USA Land Corp, then eventually it was later given to us. We feel having to pay yearly assessment fees, property taxes and weed abatement fees, all these years, as owners, we should be able to have rights to build here if we want to. I have never heard of HVL having problems with low water levels or the aquifer being dangerously low. What good is it to have a piece of property that we continue to put money into (all fees, taxes, etc) if there is a moratorium where we cannot build there, then we would be in jeopardy of not being able to sell it if we wanted to? Our main home is in the East Bay, which is growing so rapidly, with many apartments, townhouses and homes, some with 3 stories (since builders can build larger square foot homes with less land usage). The traffic congestion is getting worse, with all the home building in the Bay Area, including people moving East to find affordable homes in Tracy, Mountain House, Lathrop, Patterson, Manteca, Modesto, Gilroy, Los Banos, Brentwood, Antioch, Pittsburg, Oakley, Stockton, Vacaville, Elk Grove, just to name a few places. Who is trying to steal our property? Without proof of water shortages downstream caused by our own water usage, no one has the right to put forth this moratorium. I definitely oppose this crooked action. Lot o4-03-03 on Powderhorn Road.

UBL0313050 This property was an opportunity for my family to build a new house that is affordable in the bay area. The moratorium has eliminated that possibility.

UBL 0313040. This was suppose to be my long awaited retirement house. Now with all the crazy taxes and California politics with stunts like this moratorium, I doubt I will ever move back to California.

Its not right that I can't plan a future for my family because of these contingencies on my.lot of land

I have lost so much money by continuing to own my lot in Hidden Valley Lake! I can’t sell or build and must pay association dues, property taxes and weed abatement! All of this after losing my home on the lot next door, in 2012, to mortgage servicing and bank fraud. I’m disgusted and have no faith in government any longer!

This is long overdue the moratorium over a wide-area of land should have never been approved. Each area has its own special characteristics. This has not been looked at and has been ignored to long. Time to end the water moratorium in Hidden Valley Lake located in Lake County California
