Wilford Lane has over recent years seen a significant increase in traffic, especially commercial vehicles following SatNav to the A453. The road was never designed to take this level of traffic and it would appear the only solution to reduce overall levels would be to prevent larger commercial vehicles from using the lane. I therefore support this petition.

No way can this so called lane sustain any more traffic and more on road parking restrictions are required as currently buses & lorries are mounting the pavement to avoid head on collisions due to on road parking. This is particularly bad near the Rivermead Flats and as most houses have enough parking on there drive for at least 2 cars there is no need for on road parking in this area and double yellow lines are needed. As for the parking bay by the Beeches hotel utter madness.

In places, the pavements are too narrow. Too often HGV do not stick to speed limits- this is particularly concerning at the tram crossing.

Wilfird Lane is not big enough for the lorries especially just before and after the tram line. It's also dangerous for all the children walking to and from school

It is becoming impossible to cross the road I live on. More development is happening along Wilford Lane adding to traffic problems - this road cannot take any more traffic!

Heavy vehicles using this road and also Compton acres is a disaster waiting to happen.

Some of the paths along Wilford Lane are very narrow. I don’t feel particularly safe walking to the tram from the Co-op direction, as the traffic comes very close and fast.

Wilford lane is not suitable for the heavy traffic on it now let alone in a next year and beyond . Silverdale NG11 7FJ

Allowing heavy goods traffic in such a volume will seriously affect the immediate area.
