Im concerned by the level of public expenditure being ploughed into this community and private member facility by Waverley, but yet fails completely to deliver one of the most prioritised amenities of the facility by both residents and members - the health suite. If these plans go ahead with the loss of the health suite, the question begs will Waverley and DC Leisure respond with a reduction in membership and offer refunds or cancellation of membership to those in contract.

How is it Waverely plan to spend so much public of the public purse on the redevelopment yet fail to deliver one of the most prioritised aspects of the Herons by both members and residents?

From what I have read so far it seems to raise sufficient concern to justify more formal enquiries.

Gender separation in 2013? What are Waverley thinking?

If the communial facilities are segregated we will end up with two smaller facilities which is far less desirable. You will also be unable to share the facilities with your partner. This proposal is utter madness and I have never heard of anything like it. When I go to hotels to use their spa facilities I have never seen segregated saunas. who on earth came up with this crazy idea;? They obviously have no idea about how the facilities are used.

Considering my family & I only live 200 metres from the Herons it would've been nice to know Waverley were spending almost £3 million pounds of public money. I hope Waverley don't pay Kinetica too much attention in regard to their contribution to development plans considering their poor maintenance & cleaning record and actually give the residents and members what they want.

We only live a few hundred metres away, but we don't go to the Herons any more as everyone in Haslemere knows, it's filthy, so we drive to Charterhouse instead. We do use the Herons for swimming lessons, which as every parent who takes their child there knows the cleaning is very poor, and a friend says it's still dirty first thing in the morning. Instead of spending £2.8M on capital expenditure, spending £50K a year on 2 or 3 cleaners or more and have a constant cleaning rota in the changing rooms, gym and cafe, and if that was publicised people would come. What's the point in spending £2.8M when you can't be bothered to clean the existing building?!

We moved on as changing rooms not cleaned. So why spend £2.8M on the project?

The health suite is the number 1 benefit that the Herons centre has above its competitors.

Who thought this mess up? I'm a long-term member and have never been consulted at any point. But then, as we see with all pulic consultations, they are generally a shame and have no effect on what consultants recommend anyway. The loss of the Helath Suite and car parking charges would probably cause me to cancel my membership, and recommend to other people that they do the same.

Who in the wisdom of designing the redevelopment decided to cut facilities instead of enhancing. As a regular user of the health suite I feel strongly that these have been omitted from the new design. As for paying for car parking, would members get a refund or be excluded from this. As a NT member, I do not have to pay for parking so why as a member of the Leisure centre should I pay.

Not including the faculities we currently have is a retrograde step. What is the reason? Can only be running costs I guess. Reply please Waverley. Where are inspired and inovative architects. with modern insulation heat loss is minimal.
Do they expect members to pay for parking, forget it, stay at home.
