We have collected 226 of signatures and have largely achieved the goal of the petition. Thank you for your participation! We are very pleased to announce, the amendments the campaign helped drive through have now been voted through the final Waverley full council meeting. The campaign has succeeded in retaining a larger mix gender Sauna & Steam Room, that will also include a drench bench and seating in the Herons redevelopment. These changes will better represent both the residents and users interests. Final plans will be published today (19th February) at The Herons and members will be receiving a planned timetable of redevelopment and a FAQ sheet.

If the steam room was to go and not to just be upgraded then I would strongly consider leaving also because of the other smaller and very seep rate saunas! Etc etc but I know a lot of people disagree about the steam room being removed as well as the space and social area that it's in why not just fix the steam room and upgrade everything!

The Health Suite Campaign is pleased to announce the inclusion of mixed gender health suite has been voted through the Southern Area Planning Committee on the 5th Feb. We await the results of the Full Council decision on the 18th Feb. Almost there everybody!

Breaking News : The Executive have voted on the recommendation of inclusion of a mixed gender Health Suite! We have potentially 2 more council committees to pass through Southern planning on the 5th (tonight), & the full council on the 18th February. But it appears we are really making headway in better representing the needs of residents and users within the Herons redevelopment. We greatly appreciate every body’s kind support - Almost there!

If I had been informed that the health suite would be closing down, I would not have signed up with Kinetica, as there are plenty more competitors who offer a health suite. The way in which this process has been dealt with by Waverley is extremely poor. I will certainly NOT be renewing my membership is the health suite is closed.

I am unlikely to renew my membership this year if the health suite is scrapped, as this was one of the main reasons why I joined.

The mixed sauna is a realxing place were a variety of people meet and chat, none of us want single sex saunas so stop with the crap plans to turn the sauna into 2 separate cubby holes and invest aq bit in making the existing one more appealing

Reinstate the health suite plus a nice cafe/bar area for the early evening would be great too. More people could meet up and enjoy the facilities, may even decide to join the gym if it's a more sociable environment.

Please can we have an updated health suite as it's just what is needed after a work out or a swim to unwind and relax

The health suite is popular and should be included - as for pay and display parking - absolute joke , I already pay for family membership with the cost of parking on top I may as well go to a private gym !

Please include a health suite as part if the development. Do not introduce pay & display parking. This would put a time limit on "health". I believe it would seriously impact on visitor numbers as it would be an added cost to consider. The thing I love about membership is the ability to just grab the kit & go. If mŷ son wants to swim after school no problem. I would defiantly have to think about additional parking costs & actually having the money to pay on me.

I would consider leaving if I had to pay for parking. This is a stealth tax on fitness, and children!! Surely redevelopment should improve facilities, not make it worse than sticking with what we have now.

I have been a member of the Herons for a number of years and by far the most important aspect of the membership is the communal health suite.
