This church is one of the most beautiful buildings in Rose Bay and definitely needs preservation. It also belongs to a dedicated Greek community and the people have been going there for many years!

Opposing the heritage listing for our church. Disgusting behavior from Woollahra Council, not having the common curtesy to step foot inside our church to see for themselves or even consult with the parish priest. The council should act on behalf in the best interest of the community, not what they desire.

The original contributors to the church wanted to be able to expand the church to meet demands. Heritage listing would be contrary to their original vision.

I agree that the architecture of this building is not historically significant. It was built at a time when affordability was the issue and it was an economical structure for parishionars to gather in. True Greek Orthodox churches or cathedrals are built in the shape of the crucifex with a dome. It is time to build a church with the traditional significance of Orthodoxy in the correct architectural shape. If this is what the priest and parish want their wishes should be respected.

I firmly against the Heritage Listing of our Church, St George, Rose Bay. This will always our spiritual home and has been for decades. Our children were baptised at this Church and I object to and I am offended by the Council and it's suggestion to do.so.

There is no need to heritage list our church due to the fact it will stay as a greek church and only make changes to improve the building but not to make it look out of character for the building and our culture/beliefs

A beautiful church that needs the priests and it's parishioners to decide the path of which it must follow. Interference through a heritage listing by the State Government impedes this process.

Local Council officers please keep your hands off our Church. You know nothing about it and you are demonstrating that you are racist. Obviously, you have a hidden agenda. Go and find some real heritage buildings! How many synagogues and mosques have you classified for heritage?

It should be up to the members of the church and their parishioners to decide, as they are the active users of this place.
