We the undersigned petitioners, being current or ex citizens of Cootamundra and district, ask that the Old Cootamundra District Hospital be listed with the New South Wales Office of Environment and Heritage as a building of architectural significance of the Federation Period.
The momentum behind this building is undeniable now. Seeing this much support for our local history is incredible.

This is not only a beautiful building but also important to the local community. If restored it would have many possible uses. Buildings like this add the attraction of a town and can even be used to bring money into a town. Once it is gone it can never be replaced.

I did my nursing training here during 1963 to 1967 then continued working there until the State Govt purchased the Mercy Hospital Buildings and made that the Cootamundra Hospital.I loved my time in this lovely old building and would hate to lose this impressive facade.

I was born here in 1977, such a wonderful old building, I always walk past here when I am visiting family. My children know I was born here and recognise it when we visit (they are 3 & 4).
Don't let it go to waste like The Roxy.

My ancestors helped raise money to build the District Hospital. My brothers and I were born there. I trained as a nurse there. It's architecture is definitely worth saving. Coota has lost too many heritage buildings. Don't let this be another one please.
