I just hope the parish council see's some sense as I'm sure the railway will bring more tourist to the area.

Having seen and heard for myself first hand the outcome of such attractions to a deprived area, the local, district and county councils, should through their full weight behind this project. I Spent vitually all my working life serving the needs of the Cornish people, and I feel that their elected leaders should do the same. This can only be a "win win " project.

Many County Councils members do not appear to be aware of the needs of the ordinary folk - their self-interests and attitudes seem to take priority.

It would be remarkably stupid not to wholly support the Helston Railway, Cornwall is not exactly flush with jobs and as has been proved elsewhere in the country, a "preserved railway" only adds to the economy and improves the standard/wellbeing of the area..ie regeneration and tourists of a good quality.

Such private railways as this play a huge roll in boosting the tourist trade in rural areas. From what I can gather the construction of a roadway would also be helpful to the farm to access fields and construction of a platform could only benefit the community for rail travel, especially in the winter months

Railways like this are the way for tourists to appreciate the countryside without clogging the roads and polluting the air. CCC please don't be so short-sighted
