Any heritage railway will bring in much needed tourism which in turn means more jobs in the area

A thriving heritage railway is financially good news for any region as it brings visitors, creates jobs and boosts the local economy. Anyone who can't realise and appreciate this fact(!) is a luddite.

The area needs any help it can get and cannot survive on the natural beauty alone, the railway offers a small but vital boost for all year round tourism in general !

As a young girl I travelled down from London and changed at Gwinnear Road onto the Helston branch line, then caught a bus to visit my aunt who lived in Helford. It was a good mile to walk from the bus stop but people thought nothing of it in those days.

This railway would be a great asset to
Helston and the surrounding area as it would bring in more visitors, (and their money).

This project should go ahead. In 2013, the All Party Parliamentary Group published a document "Social & Economic Value of Heritage Railways" defining the significant benefit to the local economy of heritage railways.

To deny planning permission amounts to council corporate vandalism.
A small railway as a much-needed tourist attraction would benefit the community immensely

Projects like this are definitely needed in this area and should not be derailed by Parish Council nimby's.

I live near launceston steam railway and that makes a significant contribution to the local area, this scheme should be fully supported. The parish council should be supporting schemes like this, not hindering them.

Please do not oppose this application, all you need to do is check out how other heritage railways have enhanced their local area both in generation of monies for local businesses/the economy but also keeping our railway heritage alive.
