Cornwall is a beautiful place with many attraction, this application not only enhances one of these but also allows for increase in local produce, all of which would benefit the locality

I f nothing is done to halt the decay of this part of Cornwall, it will just become a beautifull graveyard .
Support the Helston Railway and bring some life back!

A sad loss to the Lizard peninsula when this railway closed but the reopening of part of it will be a boost to tourism in the area and maybe a future transport link for locals

I guess the original rail promoters had objections like this, but got over them, good luck!!!

If the railway were to fully reopen it would provide a wonderful tourist
attraction to Helston and would bring much needed money into
the town.

This railway restoration group should be encouraged for all the time, effort and hard work they have put into the railway so far. They are doing a splendid job.

I was born and raised in Cornwall and most of my family still live there. We are all passionate about reviving as much of the Helston branch as we can. Let's make sure we tell this story to our children - because it's OUR story

We should restore as much as possible of Cornwall's industrial past.

As a resident of Helston, I feel that the proposed development is a really sound idea, It will be an added attraction to holidaymakers and will bring trade to this part of Cornwall.

A real shame that the Parish Council could not see its way to stand behind such a worthwhile project.

Can you explain how half a dozen narrow minded people can stop this wonderful railway from reaching its' potential?

We need to promote railway transport for the future. Future public would not forgive us if we ruined another good chance to relay a railway – remember how Beeching damaged the infrastructure and put a hole in a transport system.
