A heritage railway near to Falmouth and St Mawes - it can only add to the tourist potential in the area!

I support the Helston Railway in its endeavours to keep the line as a railway line in any form, and also any permissions needed in conjuction with this.

I fully support support both of these planning applications. The planning permissions are both for Trevarno Farm Prospidnick Helston Cornwall TR13 0RY PA13/02840 Construction a roadway to serve The Helston Railway and for farmers to access surrounding fields in the area now known as Trevarno Farm and PA13/02733

Schemes like this should be supported by councils not hindered

Thoroughly support - all will regret rejection in the future - trust me. Just look at how many other rail revival schemes have failed due to short sighted planning decisions.

Over the years I have seen many changes to rail in the UK & although my interest was lost after my youth it has been rekindled in my later years whilst introducing my 3 young grandsons to model railway. Now I look around and recall those halcyon days of steam in the '50s and yet there is little to show the boys. I applaud all those who had the foresight years ago to fight to save lines & stations and build them into historical attractions that are indeed British. I hope there is success with this campaign so the future children have something worthy to see.

Tourism and Cornwall are synonemous. Generally it is reckoned that for every £ spent by preserved railway tourist visitors some £5-£10 goes into the local economy. Why would the local authority NOT want this development investment, much of which would be an investment by well wishing supporters. It could also help skills learning opportunities for local youngsters.

The interest this would bring into the area can only be good. Just look to the other towns that have revived their local railway and how it helped to rejuvenate their towns.

Helston is in need!!!!! Badly of train transport as it would benefit the local economy and bring more visitors to Helston especially in the tourist season and local people may find it easier to commute as there are far to little buses !!!!
