The City Council approved our zoning request and Helping Hands finally has a permanent home. I am truly overwhelmed by this result and it belongs entirely to the people who insisted on a better future for our agency.
Helping Hands of Springfield needs your help!
The Planning and Zoning Commission denied our zoning petition by ONE VOTE. It now goes to City Council and we want to show our BEST CASE to move forward with our attempt to purchase and refurbish the north-most portion of the Old Ace Sign Company at 402 N 4th to relocate our agency in a PERMANENT home. It is close to services, it is improving a vacant building, and it allows our agency to be effective and stop spinning wheels in temporary homes.
Help us will you? Sign the petition and show your support.
I am honestly overwhelmed by how many people have stood up for this cause. If you could send the link to just three neighbors today we might actually reach that hundred mark before the council session.

That building has been a total eye sore for years. let them fix it up and put it to good use already.

This place does so much for people in springfield. why on earth would they deny a permanent home for such a great cause? use some common sense.

Ridiculous decision by the commission. Helping hands keeps this city running and they deserve a real office space. fix this.
