The American Kennel Club is a wonderful registry but it takes so long to register a puppy that is a non-standard color!! To register a puppy that is a non-standard color you must print out 2 photos of the puppy and send those 2 photos and the registration application to the American Kennel Club’s mailing address, this is a very long and unnecessary process and as a result many owners and breeders don’t take the time to register their new puppies.

All that we ask is that the American Kennel Club would make an online option to be able to register a purebred puppy of a non-standard color online by uploading 2 photos to the American Kennel Club website and add all the other color codes for the non-standard colors to the website as well. This would cut the wait time in half, would be an up to date form of registering purebred puppies and more owners and breeders would register their new puppies!
