The issue that is occurring in Wellington County in Guelph it is pretty serious, and we all still should know what is happening around the world even if your in another part of Canada or in another country. The issue is.... Nestle has decided to proceed in extracting water from a well in Aberfoyle, that leaves the citizens including First Nations of Guelph with less water to drink and use.
Many people are being affected in this situation. People like Wellington County farmers, livestock producers and residents experienced a drought because of Nestle taking too much groundwater. This might not affect you but it could. What if you were in this situation? You would then care about it so why not start caring about it now. How is it going to affect me? You might be wondering "how will affect me?"If farmers experience droughts and it's farmers in your area they won't be able to water there crops which could affect what you eat which could affect your diet and you could get sick. So there still a chance it could affect you, either way you should care about others and what their going through right now.

I have spent this week reading through the concerns left in the comments section regarding the water extraction in Aberfoyle. It is clear that the impact on local farmers and the health of our shared resources weighs heavily on many of you. My focus now is shifting toward organizing these experiences into a formal statement to ensure that the people in power understand the urgency of this situation.

Reaching this level of engagement confirms that people truly value the preservation of our shared natural resources. It is heartening to see such a strong collective recognition that the challenges faced by our local farmers and residents resonate far beyond the borders of Wellington County.

Water is a human right and it shouldnt be sold off for profit by big corporations. Leave our local water alone.

STOP NESTLE. This is absolutely ridiculous that they can just take our water while local farmers suffer during a drought.
