This should never have been allowed to stay after the injuries it caused my son! The sooner it goes the better! Put it in a museum if it's that precious but let's not ruin anymore kids lives!

My children use the park daily after school and I am amazed that a piece of equipment as hazardous as this is still allowed. I would fully support the removal of this item for something safer.

Hopefully this will be removed as I would not like this to happen to my children. It's disgusting that it's deemed safe when it obviously isnt safe as this is 2 bad injuries now! 2 to many.

There are modern versions that are safe. If it is of historic interest move it to the heritage museum.
Children love it but will also love a modern safe version.

The way this roundabout has been hailed "safe" and painted gold, is an absolute disgrace to the families and children that have been seriously injured on this thing. If a piece of machinery existed in a factory, that like this roundabout, could spin so fast, with no breaking or gearing to prevent immediate stopping, and with no guards, it would be immediately condemned due to non compliance.
This death trap is in a child's play ground and while it may have been perfectly acceptable in the 1960's, it has proved beyond doubt that nearly 60 years later, it has no place in the future.
Please remove this before its another limb torn, broken, or even worse a child's head that is maimed!!

Most roundabouts have already been removed from play areas due to the significant injury risk they pose. Remove this one too before another child is seriously injured

Here is the link.
I have been in contact with his mum, who between us want it removed. The sad thing back 5 years ago she offered to fundraise to have it removed and a newer one installed or something else but they point blank refused

You would think so yes. Go to google and type in boy injured and grampound park, read the story of the first child seriously injured. He has had to have numerous operations, his foot will never be the same. It is not acceptable

Surely if its hurt a number of children its dangerous and should be removed.
