It really is the perfect size for smaller gatherings. As our senior family members retire into smaller homes this has proven to be a good place for our extended families to come to for a Christmas event.

Please keep this hall open. It supports community groups that in turn make the community a better place to live.

This was a great place to have family Christmas gatherings. It would be a shame and an injustice to lose it.

My family and I have attended many events at the Rostock Hall. I encourage Council to support not severing the Hall from Quinlan Park to sell!

Small communities are losing their places to meet...no wonder no one knows their neighbours anymore!!

I am a member of the Perth County Pork Producers and an active participant in County level agricultural activities. The Rostock hall is an important hub for agriculture here in Perth County and it's central location ensures that people from all points can converge on a central location for discussion. It would be a shame to lose this important resource

It would be a real shame for this hall to close. It is the perfect size for a small community like Rostock and is always being used by many community groups and individuals.

I have been to the hall for many family events over the last several years, i can't imagine it not being available for such functions.

We have had numerous reunions and anniversary gatherings at this hall. It would be a shame to loose this valuable asset.

This hall is a great place it would be a same to give it up. We had our family reunions there for years. The grounds are great as well.

I think our municipality should let the Optimists take full responsibility of the hall and that means no more unnecessary costs like feasibility studies and regular inspection costs. If local volunteers run the hall then it has a good chance to survive, but if our municipality tries to run it then it will look never stay viable. John Nyenhuis

During the 50's and 60's when I was growing up, the village of Rostock was a very vibrant community with 2 grocery stores, a mill, a creamery, an egg grading station, a barber shop, school, church, mechanical shop, municipal office and road maintenance shop and an auto wrecker business. We spent a lot of time in this little community shopping, attending community events such as open air picnic's and ball games and attended many reunions and parties in the Rostock Hall. Having a hall in a small community like this allows the residents and others in the surrounding communities a place to gather more often and it is within these gathering that the spirit of the community is kept alive. I strongly urge the municipality to do the right thing for the community and keep the Rostock hall and support keeping it open for community and family events.

Please keep this wonderful community centre for the families that rely on it.
