SARGENT HAS BEEN SENTENCED TO DEATH OVER 1 MISTAKE THAT LEFT NO PERMANENT INJURY. HE WAS PROTECTING HIS PROPERTY
sargent is the most gentle dog you could ever meet. he is incredibly protective but a lovely dog to the people he knows. He’s apart of the family & has been for 7 years now. We all adore him.
we had a door knocker come around 2 or so weeks ago and he managed to get out & bite her on the bum, he knew the second he did he had hurt her & got off immediately.
the rangers came and took him on Wednesday 2nd of jan.
he truly is a lovely dog, not one bad bone in his body. He’s just incredibly protective over his family. There is an huge amount of controversy over this breed & their nature. But he’s never snapped or bite anyone else besides this girl that was on our property, hanging around out the front of our house.

I just saw we hit one hundred signatures and my head is spinning because I never expected this much support so fast. Sarge is just the best boy and seeing all these people who have never even met him come out to back us is honestly making me cry while I type this out.

I keep staring at the signature count and we are almost at one hundred which feels like a big step towards showing them that sarge is loved. Could you send the link to a few people right now because I honestly just want him back in his bed at night and not sitting in that cold kennel where he is so scared.

A stranger at the door? The dog was only protecting his family. Am sure now that this has happened all precautions can be taken to prevent it without needing to put down an obviously loved pet who has made one mistake in 7 years.
He was doing exactly what his job is. Protecting his home and family. I would expect my dogs to act exactly the same if a stranger came to my property! Don’t punish a beautiful loving dog for doing his duties. Return him home to live a loving life with his family.
Sarge is a part of their family, he is calm and friendly to everyone I have witnessed him with when out on walks or when the family had new friends over for BBQs. I cant imagine Sarge being dangerous based on the numerous times i have interacted with him.
The dog was simply doing what he has been trained to do his whole life, protect his family against intruders. The lady is okay and shouldn’t have entered a property with an animal on it. It was her own fault.
Such a lovely dog who was protecting his property. If someone was hanging around your front door and you didn’t know them you wouldn’t have a pleasant reaction. He’s never bitten anyone before either

Hoping better action will be taken to prevent another incident from occurring. However, think this is the owners fault and Sarge shouldn’t be punished by losing his life. It’s a hefty reality check that can’t be ignored.
