I blame OFSTED for being sceptical about practicing religion in schools, yes there were some rare occasions of apparent extremism in other schools and I know LAE are afraid of being on the news in bad lighting but they should trust their students that they're not dumb enough to fall into extremism, so message to LAE please be independent, listen to your students and save the bloody hassle, really its not that deep.

Please allow Muslims to have a room just or even a quiet space even if it's a small multi faith room where everyone is free to practice their religious beliefs

Students at LAE should have the right to a prayer room
We live in 2015 Britain a multicultural society that embrace diffrent religion and culture's. By not allow a prayer room you show that u clearly do not fit multiculturalism .

I believe everyone has the right to practice their own religion regardless of how modern or secular an establishment wants to be.

Provide a prayer place to respect the faith of the believers of Islam. Allow them to practice their religion.

If you can't provide a prayer room at least state that on your website and let students know before they make a stupid decision of going there. Prayer is very important in case you didn't know.

It is unbelieveable how an educational institution in this day and age has failed to provide its students with the space to practice their faith, what ever it may be.

My brother attends LAE and I was planning on going too. But now I will definitely not go if they don't offer a place for prayer, and neither will my two friends who were planning on attending with me. The school doesn't understand that prayer is a part of life for Muslims, and that they are attached to prayer like they are attached to breathing or sleeping. This is because if you check the website that have no Muslim governers and to my knowledge no Muslim staff, but 70%+ of students are Muslim. This is a real shame as we wanted to attend LAE as we want to aim high, but I can't compromise as prayer is more important.
Great to see so many non-Muslims also signing. This is a sign of peace and unity.
Good luck LAE students. If things don't change I think LAE will close. You can't have a college without students!

LAE prides itself on its core values, one of which is respect. Yet it doesn't have the respect to allow student to practice their religion in peace. There is no reason why the students shouldn't have a prayer space.
