This is abhorrant. Why should music become a fineable 'crime'. What has it got to do with the LIQUOR LICENCING PEOPLE?? Why is it one person complaining can stop the enjoyment for hundreds. That one person should not have so much power, when they can easily use some ear plugs. Bring back music - it should not be regulated or an offence to have music! Say no to this Police State. Please sign the petition and bring back music instead of this rubbish red tape.

A valuable asset to the community that provides jobs for locals, enhances an already attractive environment with great food and ambience is being treated with contempt by the council.Shameful decision!

Just a nonsense, it doesn't hurt anyone the opposite it makes people happy to listen to music, it help s local artists, no one has complain!! Its been music there before!! Its just disgusting. I love to have a meal listening to nice music. Let families to enjoy life without been rip off. There are almost no places in this area that we can do that. Let small business work in peace!!!

These laws and restrictions serve absolutely no purpose. IT SIMPLY robs both artists of places to play and disadvantages small business people who support them and starves the music lovers who support these places I totally support the idea of abolishing the red tape asap! !

I will be writing to my local parliamentarian and expressing my will to make live acoustic music a priority for the health and well being of the Sunshine Coast. Such Written expressions carry even more weight than petitions. Do both. Look forward to more beautiful music at your venue.

As both a professional musician and live music lover, it is so essential to have venues like Coffee Cat on Kings to play music and to listen, enjoy and support other artists. Live music can be the heart and soul of a community, and be beneficial to many levels of the local economy. The laws must change to provide more opportunities for artists to support their careers, and for families to enjoy the fruits of the artists' labours.

Queensland has historically been the "music police" state, it's time for this to change. The unworkable laws make it so hard for anyone to offer live music.

Understand your plight. I say proceed with the acoustic report and all should be well. I am also a SME and our costs are unbearable also but we have to pay them. Registration for one prime mover is $8000 that is just the beginning. We wish you success to continue to provide a place for artists. Good luck

The sunshine coast (noosa where I live) should be filled with live music, It is the perfect place, Music is LIFE! Music is food for the soul. So lets shower the coast with music, art, dance ..lets live and raise the vibration of this wonderful coastline.. Francoise
