Councils should be supporting local business, the rules are archaic!

We cannot control an innocent man. That is why we make more laws. We must turn everybody criminals. That way we will have total control. (Paraphrased from the Dr Ferris speech: Page 404; Atlas Shrugged)

Any way the so called government can rape you, they will. Where the hell do they come up with the prices? $188 for a permit application. How much will the permit be?

I played in Qld. between 1973 -1985 in some of the biggest venues around. We never had to put up with all that "crap". Nor did any of the other Artists. Sounds like the "Fun Police" are out in Force

Live music should not have to be licensed. Public liability insurance should cover it.

I thought governments were trying to reduce red tape, maybe just with poker machines and liquor. Not much revenue in live music for governments.

Life is complicated enough already. Offering a free stage for local talent brings people together socially in pleasurable activity. Life always needs more of that. Please help make life easier and more enjoyable. Thx for listening. (No pun intended....ok maybe there was.

Make live music easier to promote and get out there.......it should be accessible, it should be encouraged, and it should be engrained as a prominent part of coast culture!
