Teakha is a lovely addition to the area where I live and I would love more places to open up onto the streets. There is a real lack of actual street culture in Hong Kong.

The FEHD should have a look at Melbourne where every laneway in the city is occupied by cafe's tables and chairs and no one bloody complains - in fact, they are proud of their laneway culture. If the government really worry about public hygiene then maybe they are just failing their task in pest control. If it's illegal for people to block the public space, then they should go to Sheungshui where hundreds of people are carrying a trolley full of products ready to smuggle to China. Be fair or no one will take you seriously. (Thanks Teakha for providing the opportunity for us to complain)
