I have personally experienced insurance injustice, more than once!

I am aware of several instances in my own family and friend group where insurance companies (aka human beings with brains) have denied services that a physician deemed necessary. It is unconscionable how people choose a buck over someone’s quality of life. I support this and thank you for fighting back. Bless Gabriel and his wife.

This law could help so many families in the future.

Dr.s who work for insurance companies shouldn’t be able to deny coverage when the attending doctor has deemed the treatment necessary.

I’m a mother to a special needs child and I struggle with this issue far too often! Adds so much more stress to an already stressed out family that is already trying to overcome so many other obstacles and just do what’s best for their loved ones. Having setbacks from insurance companies when their doctors have already stated that they are in need of something to benefit or save their life is absolutely uncalled for and puts unnecessary delays in patient care. The patient, caregiver/family member, and the doctor are the ones that know what the patient needs best, not the insurance companies.

Doctors should be able to treat patients not insurance companies

Insurance is to help. It is a contract but should be open to changes health services.

Insurance companies have far too much say in our medical care. It's time our Dr's have the final say, not the bean counters at United Health Group (not Care, because they don't) and the like.

Please pass this law it’s not fair to anyone of us to have to suffer through this. I am also having the same problems. No insurance company should should be able to over write anything my physician says if medically necessary. I sit here now with a neck and shoulder messed up in return has cause also a frozen should that may or may not heal due to my insurance company not giving the test my dr asked for, for over a year and a half. Now it may never heal and still no answer on my neck. I also have a mass on my head they have no clue what it is or if it’s on top or under the skull. They have denied the ct scan again. United healthcare suck's. Please help give this young man what he needs along with all of us. Thanks Dottie Rivers

As a healthcare provider I fully support that the insurances are over stepping the care of patients.
