Doctors should control patients care, not desk jockeys who have not seen the inside of a clinical facility for years!!

I support Gabriel’s Law because it recognizes that some systems and practices around care approval are overdue for reform. When authorization processes become barriers instead of safeguards, they undermine both trust and outcomes. This is about modernizing how decisions are made — creating clearer standards, stronger accountability, and more clinically grounded review processes. Healthcare policy should enable timely, appropriate care, not delay it through outdated operational models.

Totally agree on this approach. We need to trust professionals and not the whims of insurance companies that are making billions in profit every year off people's suffering.

Insurance companies should not have the power to kill someone over revenue. What's the difference between denying care on a form or unplugging life support in person

I understand completely how devastating a rubber-stamp denial from your insurance company can be. I pray that this bill will take that power away and make denials fairer for the people who faithfully pay the premiums and need the insurance when they need it.

What this young man & his wife have had to go thru to get the basic standard of care is absolutely sickening. I wish I could sign my name 1000 times in support of this petition.

Insurance company should not have the way to decide care for a patient. Let the doctors do their job.

My dad suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury in October of 2024 and we have been fighting with the insurance company to get him the extensive rehab that he needs but we keep getting the run around! He is now at LECOM Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on 4114 Schaper Ave, Erie, PA 16508! And he sits in a room all day by himself staring at a TV! THEY DON'T EVEN GO IN THE TO MAKE SURE HE HAD SOMETHING TO DRINK OR TO LEAVE THE TRAY IN FRONT OF HIM SO HE CAN TRY TO DO IT ON HIS OWN OR LEAVE THE THERAPY TOOLS OR EVEN THE BOOKS HE CAN OPEN AND READ TO STIMULATE HIS MIND WHILE HE IS ALONE!!! WE TELL THEM TO DO THIS EVERYDAY AND WHEN WE GO TO VISIT HE IS IN HIS WHEELCHAIR IN FRONT OF THE TV WITH NOTHING IN FRONT OF HIM OR A BLANKET TO KEEP HIM WARM! Per everyone the they don't have time or enough aides to help him on a daily basis. He also doesn't get any kind of rehab or even daily stretches to help him move or speech therapy to help him talk! He tries but is unable to do that simple task! They only do group rehab with other residents and the hours are from 730a - 12p and the close for lunch from 12 -1p and then from 1-4p its open gym for the residents! what are they doing for those 3 hours if they can't even go stretch residents that are not able to move and are confine to either a wheelchair or bed and would benefit from this kind of rehab! This should not be considered a rehabilitation center if the don't offer any extensive rehab or have rhe necessary tools to help these patients! And then they mark down he does doesn't participate then the insurance denies him rehab. When he was at AHN rehab and had one on one therapy he started to improve but again the insurance denied to further his rehab and was sent to another nursing home where he started to decline!! When he had one on one rehab he strives to get better and we tell the staff at LNR (LECOM Nursing and Rehabilitation) but they just listen and do nothing! They seem to only want the money and don't care about hel

Please keep fighting. There are others like you caring for loved ones in this world that are often pushed aside over money, nonclinical opinions, or just clear lack of empathy. Our nation and others need to see that every life has value.
