Insurance companies deny off of arbitrary claims not supported by physicians that directly impact its members and patients. Insurance companies need to remember who their client is and support the care patients need. I hope to see change!

I went thru this with a medication I needed. The ins co. would not cover it. I had to go thru a Canadian pharmacy to get the meds.

Please pass this very important law. If we pay our premiums, we deserve necessary medical care when needed, without having to fight for it! Thank you.

After dealing with my mother’s horrific near-death experience at DuBois Penn Medicine and the desire of the hospital to attempt to cover it up and then nickel and dime her on her bills that they should rightfully cover, I learned something most people never realize until they are living it.
Being alive and physically functioning after medical trauma often makes accountability impossible. The mental and emotional suffering that follows is expected to be endured quietly, and that is infuriating.
What Gabriel and his family are going through is deplorable. This could be any of us, at any time.
My best wishes are with Gabriel, Lauren, and everyone fighting to make sure he gets the care he deserves.

I feel if a doctor deems a test or transfer is necessary the insurance company shouldn’t be allowed to deny it

I would be more than glad to testify to this after caring for 10 years for my daughter with a progressive neurological disorder, which culminated in her death. I don't know how insurance persons live with themselves.

No one should have to struggle for the care they think they're paying for when insurance premiums are being paid in good faith.

These insurance companies are getting out of control. They were nonprofit until the 70s and should return to that status as they are interfering with how providers are able to treat patients and causing emence pain and suffering.
