Help Support Gabriel's Law Against Insurance Companies!

This is so necessary for Gabe and Lauren and everyone in a similar situation. This should not be the standard practice it is now.

Please help support two former students. Please support justice and doing the right thing.

Insurance companies need to look at more than some notes on a page. What if this was their parent, spouse, sibling, child or best friend. They would want the best possible care given to them. The people at the “top” who make the rules need to think about more than the bottom line, they need to remember they are dealing with a “person, have compassion and allow claims to go thru so the individual can get the care they need.

This bill not only will hopefully benefit my son but others in their journey of dealing with health insurance companies. Lauren has a lot to handle and maintain than to worry about insurance issues. She has shown more patience and resilience than the average person with all of this. I hope those in power have compassion and a heart to listen to all of us fighting for family and fairness.

Please support those who can not speak for themselves! They deserve the best care.

100% agree insurance companies have to much power and shouldn’t base their decisions on a piece of paper.

No one should be denied care recommended by their doctor and their expertise. Shame on insurance companies for doing this.

As someone who worked with traumatic brain injury patients in the outpatient setting, care and equipment is constantly denied by insurance companies. They deem the care/equipment as unnecessary and the patient suffers. Signing this petition into law would change the lives of all these people drastically.

Health Insurance companies shouldn’t be allowed to play god

Insurance companies do not belong in the decision-making of medical care, especially when somebody is paying their premium. That’s like paying for a service and not getting the service you paid for.

Something needs to be done quickly this is not right for patients who’s physicians know what they need!!

Insurance companies have to be held accountable!

I support this petition in hopes for healthcare reform. The less the insurance company pays for patient care is the more they profit. This petition shows that insurance companies have the power to have one of their “peers” review documentation in an effort to prove medical necessity. It is my opinion, and many others, that this is unacceptable. If your doctor deems the care to be medically necessary the insurance company should not be lawfully welcome to hire their own doctor to disagree. This is inhumane and robbery. Peace and Love.

This bill is long overdue. No one should have the right to deny care that is necessary or could improve the quality of life for someone.

Doctors should make all health decisions not the Insurance Companies.
