Stronger Ordinance to Combat Illegal Dirt Bikes

IS WAY OUT OF CONTROL IN WESTVILLE !!! 200+ bikes / ATVS intimidating police officers by circling them !!

The problem continues to get worse, especially on the weekends!!! Something must be done. I’m surprised no one has been killed yet ,especially on Long Wharf. Absolutely scary

Anything is better than the approach currently being used. This is a top quality of life issue for New Haven

Please stop the kids riding these motorcycles making the horrifying noises at all times of the day and dangerous way of riding them in big groups on one wheel. It is not only dangerous to them but to other people around them. When they end up with accidents it is all the other people who pay for their behavior including Medicaid. We pay one of the highest taxes as residents in the city and this needs to be stopped before someone innocent gets hurt. It could be even a child. The city should confiscate the motorbikes from these people to save lives .

I do not agree with the first provision. A $1000 fine is unreasonable, it perpetuates property, especially in a State where civil fines are tied to your ability to obtain a drivers license, renew a vehicle registration etc. It forces an individual to further break the law, and makes it harder for someone to retain employment and be a productive citizen. The fines would likely never be paid anyway. I agree with the rest.

Please Please Please --- This dangerous behavior of dirt bikes & ATVs among cars, pedestrians and neighborhoods MUST STOP. Stiff fines will help; so will no fuel from gas stations. Help!

As a driver, I've personally been endangered multiple times by bands of riders, both in New Haven and West Haven, at both day and night. The riding itself is hazardous, but what makes it even worse is the *way* they ride, doing crazy tricks in traffic, between cars, going the wrong way as they race ... it's only a matter of time before people are seriously injured.

Get them off the roads until they respect the road

Well build a big dirt bike/atv park and let them ride. This petition isn’t gonna stop them. Commercials about drinking and driving/texting don’t do anything so good luck

I seen a kid get hit on a dirt bike and jump on the back of a friends bike to get away, it’s for the safety of the public and riders
