I am a teacher and our students come first. How can you give everyone a fair opportunity if you think some of your students are subhuman? Vulgar!

Cindy Anderson has been using her position of authority over young people to spew bigotry for years. Power to the students finally holding her accountable.

There is no place in a school for someone with a heart full of hate. Teachers are meant to educate, not discriminate.

It’s reprehensible that a teacher who has such clear biases hate towards a race is able to teach at a school. She should be fired immediately

There is no way I will feel safe sending our daughter to a school that employs bigots. I'm not teaching her that nonsense at home and I'll sure not have her learning it at school!

It was hard enough growing up in Wylie as one of the only Jewish kids but she made it worse.

She was my English 3 teacher years ago and this does not surprise me at all. She would always have controversial conversations in class which should have been a learning experience and a time for conversation but it always turned to a race war in the class with her allowing racist comments and even adding fuels to the fire. She never tried to mediate the situation but instead found it entertaining. She was a blatant racist back then and she should not be allowed to be an educator when she feels like black people are “subhuman”. Wylie ISD is always under fire for something, this is a chance to actually do the right thing. They love to talk about “The Wylie Way” but It’s confusing to even know what that means when they allows things like this to go on

Behavior like this is unacceptable in an educator.

Considering even from the other side of town I’ve heard all she’s done and the fact she’s still there sickens me

I was told I wasn't smart enough to take AP English senior year having never gotten anything below a B. My senior English teacher (Mrs.Black) literally called her on the phone to ask WHY?

I am speaking as a WHS alumni of 2008-2011 and a student in Mrs. Anderson's class my junior year. The behavior she exhibited in that timeframe was beyond unprofeasional, and at times, straight up hostile. I can only hope that Wylie can recognize that this is not an isolated incident, but just a testiment to the level of comfort she felt expressing these horrible sentiments on social media and in the classroom on a daily basis for years. The collective voices of current and former students have spoken far beyond forgiveness or repair in regards to her maintaining employment. It is the duty of a teacher to be a role model to all students, no matter who they are.

Never had her when at Wylie High between 2009-2013, but her actions and words are inexcusable.
