It is so sad that this has been under the radar for so so long - under the school, department, and school board. If the school asks why didn't students come forth before, tell me would you have believed them? How do you expect us to come forward since we are taught as children to obey authortive figures? This teacher remained in her position through my time and my sister's time there. Everyone knew, so how could the school not recognize the issue? What example does that show the student body? I commend those who have chosen to speak up and those who found their voice to speak up. I hope Wylie ISD reviews their leadership and looks it to prevent this in the future. Honestly, Wylie ISD need to look over there education as a whole. I am sorry to those who had to continue to have her as a teacher and for those who had her in the past. To those reading this, I hope you can speak up too.

She needs to be fired. Wylie ISD should not allow her to continue with her job.

I stand with equality and believe there should be consequences for this type of behavior.

I remember my freshman year she asked all of her Southern Baptist friends to raise their hands during a class I had with her. That was in 1999. When my dad told her that was inappropriate due to separation of church and state she said her daddy was a lawyer and he said it was ok. I can’t believe she’s been allowed to keep teaching this long.

She was the worst. If you weren’t “white” then you were not going to get anything nice out of her. She acted just like a high school. Worst “teacher” ever. I hope she’s fired!

This cannot and will not be tolerated not only in an educational workplace, but a progressive society as a whole
