Please save the tree. It has meant a lot to so many people. It has historic value.

This tree is older than I am, meaning I grew up with this tree. It has provided us with a wonderful Christmas tree every year, complete with a lighting ceremony. To cut it down so someone can see the public toilets is just asinine.

How many complaints have the "powers that be" received from folks about not being able to find a bathroom in West Liberty?? For goodness sakes, trim a few branches and put up a sign with an arrow to point the way. I'm sure there's enough intelligence to find them. Leave the tree alone!

Wouldn't it just be better to put a sign up for the rest rooms? So many families make memories around this tree.

You are a truly ugly person inside if you think cutting down our precious tree is going to solve this town's problems. That tree has given our town more memories than town hall ever has. Instead of chopping down the tree, how about we demolish town hall and see how that suits everyone. KEEP THE TREE.

I feel there is so much uncertainty in our world right now how nice to have something that anchors memories and tradition for everyone. I'm always so touched when those lights flip on and everyone oohs and ahs . you just feel small town America. What shame to take that away.

Please do not cut down the W.L. Christmas Tree. I know there is a better solution to show ppl where the new RR will be. The tree is a symbol of tradition in our town and everyone looks forward to the lighting of the tree at Christmas. So many traditions are being lost.....let's not lose this one.

This tree is part of West Liberty's urban identity, streetscape and provides multiple benefits to the village. It has generations of memories behind it and is the centre of Christmas festivities. With over 909 people in a facebook group in a town of 1800 people the village needs to wake up.

Tradition in a small town should remain! Tradition is more valuable than public restrooms! America is already on the sh*tter, let's keep our communities together and strong by allowing us to enjoy a yearly tradition together :)

I'd like the reasons for cutting this tree down clearly stated and a village vote. If it is for the public restrooms, that's not a good enough reason to cut it down (it's an unacceptable reason to me...as are public restrooms in our village offices but who am I to have an opinion...village resident here!) I didn't grow up here and I don't want that tree cut down either.
