Please save the tree

That tree is a landmark of W. Liberty and helps make the town so pretty. At least compromise---the whole tree does not have to come down if you would just cut branches from the ground up to about 15 feet. That would be a much fairer thing to do than getting rid of such a lovely tree that we have watched grow for several decades and have grown accustomed to seeing! That way people could still see the public restrooms at ground level but the beautiful tree would not be completely gone, either. That TREE has become part of your town's HISTORY!

Sounds like someone has been sipping stupid juice. That tree is part of our little village, wouldn't be Christmas without it.

I loved seeing the lighting if the tree as a child and want to continue this tradition with my young children. Couldn't trimming the tree to be more slender be a nice compromise?

Keep the tree!! Stop being ignorant and trying to destroy history and instead spend some money and get the mold removed on the 100+ year old building!! If you don't upkeep a building, of course it grows mold!

We love seeing it when we bring our kids back to visit. It would definitely be missed!

I've lived in this town for 25 years now. All of my children have enjoyed the lighting of the tree tradition. We don't have many traditions left. Lighting another tree would not be the same.

I see no reason to cut down the community tree.

cuttingg down a beautiful tree to make way for restrooms that you can walk a block over and use the gas station or just take the 5 min to go home and use it is just restarted. Weather the tree is there or not will not affect the use of the restroom :-/

That tree has been there as long as I can remember. It would be a great shame to cut a piece of history down!

The tree has been a part of my family's traditions for many, many years and I would love to be able to continue that for my own kids.

I grew up in West Liberty and I will always remember that tree and so will my kids. It is a part of the towns history.
