The local council has officially reversed the decision to withdraw funding from the Spa Pavilion Theatre. Management will continue operations as planned now that the subsidy is secured. We will monitor the budget reviews moving forward to ensure this commitment remains firm.

The Suffolk Coastal District Council Cabinet decision is subject to review through the call-in process, but at present the intention is to withdraw funding at the end of June so allowing Openwide to run the Spa and its full programme up to the end of June 2012, and then withdraw funding which effectively means the end for this wonderful old theatre. Help us Save the Spa!

We are approaching five hundred signatures and need to reach this threshold before the upcoming review session. Achieving this mark secures the necessary leverage to present our case to the Suffolk Coastal District Council cabinet.

Ridiculous decision. The council needs to find the money somewhere else and stop cutting everything that actually matters to us.
