I have been to serveral home tours. The historic part is part of what makes Rossville as it is the history. You should preserve history not destroy it!

I have been to the home tours of several of the homes in Rossville and always have friends that come from far and near after I tell them about this place...its like you have stepped back in time, there are not many places like this left!! I am so disappointed and shocked that anyone (especially elected officials of a town like that )would even consider doing anything that would damage or change the character of that town!! All you have to do is drive thru there on any day and see the old homes and walk to the café, and go to the little church and hear the church bells ringing it is such a" fresh breathe of air" in this stagnant, industrial, big business world that is getting all too common......eat up the great old character of a place to make room for concrete buildings and parking lots... just shameful !!!

Folks drive out from Memphis to enjoy this quaint town and eat at the Wolf River Cafe. The Wolf River board walk is a sleeper. I have told people about it that live around here. They are amazed at what is in our "backyard". In America we are losing everyday to political correctness what made small towns home to hard working people. Must we lose this historic district? For what purpose? Build or develop the land nearby if you must, leave our historic district out of your plans to exploit an area just for profit.

There are plenty of areas to develop without the need to disrupt and preservation of the downtown historic district.

Having frequently visited Rossville, I've found that the historic district sets this community apart. It provides a unique, nostalgic feeling. This part of the Rossville community needs to be preserved.
