Do it right or don't do it at all. There are ways to eliminate the dangerous part of the damn without draining the river. Simplest and cheapest way is to lay a slope of rip rap on the down river side of the damn which will fill in the churn so you can't get trapped there and maintain the river level above the damn. Simply tearing it down and leaving a mess behind is unacceptable.

Do not do this because of a stupid man this dam has been there ever since o was born.in the 60's and it needs to stay until mother nature takes it away. KEEP UP DONT REMOVE BECAUSE OF A STUPID MAN.

What a horrible proposal, leave the DAM alone, the Maury River is such an asset to Rockbridge County, if this is passsed it would lower property values acosss the county!!!!!!

Please leave our river alone, there are a lot of us who enjoy floating that section of river. Plus that dam is part of Lexingtons history.
