My Family spends a lot of time on the Maury, fishing, swimmimg, kayaking, tubing, and camping. Its a great place for familys to be outdoors together, leave it be!

That dam has a lot history serounding the rockbridge co and the city of Lexington, don't mess this so much of our history has already been lost. It would also have river to dry up and fish and all of the wild life would suffer because of the dam been removed

Don't do it!!!!! The river is fine the way it is!! The removal of the dam is pointless and a waste of money, time, and resources. They have no clue what this will do to the river. If it's because of lives lost at JP...come on!? People make stupid discussions and lose their lives. Don't punish the river! Love to kayak and fish the Maury!!

you want to remove one of the best and only spots by the river that our local youth has to enjoy? Goshen pass swinging bridge has already been taken out of the mix. and the boat lock is swarmed by not the best or most friendliest crowd for kids the majority of warm weather.

Removing the dam would ruin one of the best stretches of the Maury for boating, swimming and fishing. It would be a waste of resources and a detriment to the community. Leave the dam ALONE!

There wont be no water level at all and all the good swimming holes will be gone the dam is what holds the water in without it itll dry up eventually just like everywhere else its sad.
