I've lived on the Maury for almost 10 years. Would hate to see what it would be reduced to if the dam was destroyed.

I just think it would really screw the river and activities on the river up!

Please leave this alone! There are so many people that enjoy and use this area. We, The National Wild Turkey Federation has used this area this teach Kayaking! Why remove it. What's next? Remove the dam at lake Robertson to return it to a natural flow? What woudl be the attraction?

I have been paddling and tubing down the maury river for as long as I can remember. Lexington would not be the same place I love and grew up in without the ability to paddle the Maury. Please do not remove the dam.

Do not drain our river by removing this damn. Our county depends greatly on it for all kinds of revinew and enjoyment. I strongly suggest you Leave things like they are.

This proposed action is short-sighted and a misdirection. The Maury is a key feature of the outstanding quality of life in Rockbridge County and a major attraction to visitors. The Maury MUST be saved!

My daughter, son- in-law, grandson, and many other Virginians will be adversely impacted if the Jordan's Point Dam is removed. Barbara Joyce
