The Little People's Place has done so much to foster the culture of one of New Orleans most historically important neighborhoods. We don't need a Whole Foods, Starbucks, Airbnb or any of that in the 6th Ward!

It takes a community to help save a vital part of the Treme community like Little People's Place. The Robertsons have operated LPP since before the complaining gentrifiers were born... don't let this important part of Treme and the people it supports disappear.

New Orleans is not like any other place in this country. The culture gave this city it's identity. This move I guess is part of some broader conspiracy. (there's always a reason, especially after 64 years of compliance). I suggest we find out who's behind it and what they have to gain. Maybe it's just me. Some of the powers that be have already diminished the cultural lineage via expensive property taxation, de-emphasizing or eliminating school music programs, and other assorted shenanigans. People who move in from other places should have a weekend course on the importance of culture in the city before they're allowed to buy or rent property. Please wake up! We preserve the French Quarter, why not extend that luxury to all neighborhoods especially Treme. Little People's Place must survive because culture is why NOLA exists and why the city still has a pulse like no other. This is NOLA not Bismarck, North Dakota.

Who could ever think of Treme with out the iconic Little People's Place. If we keep losing thing that make Treme special then Treme will not retain it's special place in American history.

Little People's Place has made invaluable contributions to the cultural legacy of New Orleans and the Treme Neighborhood. It's very existence has enabled the identity, popularity and authenticity of New Orleans music. Many musicians, social aid and pleasure club members, Mardi Gras Indians and second liners gathered at Little People's to practice their chants, plan their parades and work out their music arrangements. If Little People's was closed, the soul and history of the city would die from this great loss.
