Dakota county does not own personal property and should not take it. Stop tyranny and stop agenda 21.

I cannot believe that this is happening to these folks.

We have some land over in Wisconsin that is our own slice of "paradise" that I would die if this happened to us, so this needs to be stopped and government eminent domain and condemnation stopped here! I'm tired of government creating far too many parks and bike trails we don't need or can't afford to start with!

"This bike trail is part of the MRRT (Mississippi River Regional Trail Project)." The MRRT is funded by the MN environment and natural resources trust fund and is under the control of the commissioner of natural resources, who can not use condemnation!

Chapter 116P); Subd. 4.Land, Habitat, Restoration, and Recreation (a) State Parks and Trails Land Acquisition $1,000,000 the first year is from the trust fund to the commissioner of natural resources to acquire authorized state trails and critical parcels within the statutory boundaries of state parks. 2013 Minnesota Statutes 84.0274 LANDOWNERS' BILL OF RIGHTS. Subd. 3.Condemnation limits. No lands shall be acquired by the commissioner of natural resources by means of condemnation unless the owner requests that the owner's lands be condemned or the condemnation is specifically authorized by law.

This subject is near to my heart as I also own property in a prime location in a wooded/waterfront area and have often thought about what our family would do if the city or county wanted to take if from us for "the greater good". Situations like this just makes my blood boil! Is this America indeed... I will be praying for you and I will help in any way.

Eminent domain, was not meant to be used to take land from land owners unwillingly. Shame on Dakota county!

Find some property owned by the state for your park. Leave this family to enjoy what is theirs!

I am in Olmsted County where they want my land for a park.

Terrible. you can walk just about anywhere you want. But why walk through this familys life?

Why don't take that money & fits the roads we the people drive on everyday & not just weekenders & the dog walkers.
