Help Save the Drews/Liljedahl/Mauch Private Property from Condemnation by Dakota County!

The land of the free, bah! It's disgusting what our country thinks they can get away with. There will be another civil war but it will be us against our governments sadly.

That's not ethical to take their land, don't do it, it's the wrong thing to do!

I like to walk and ride my bike but I think all branches of government are spending way too muchmoney, they don't have building all these paths. Now they even try and force people off their land. What rights do we have left? You could be next!

I don't understand how the county government can " condemn" land that there is nothing wrong with. in my opinion this is a " bully" tactic. if they want a bike trail make a trail with a variance thru the land, but don't take it all. this is very wrong and an a good example of the abuses of government. I would expect to see this type of thing at the federal level ( but that does not excuse it) where there might be big money involved but not at the local level, our local politicians should work for what's best for their constituents. that does not mean condemning their land to get it at a cheap price. I love parks but I also respect private property, apparently the county commissioners do not. I would like someone to print a list of the names of the politician's involved in this "land robber" scheme so I can vote for somebody else next time!! Spencer Johnson Hastings minn

Not only do I hope you are victorious, I hope you take the Dakota county commissioners to court and win a judgement that makes them think twice about acting more like Russian commisars than representatives elected by a constituency to which they are answerable.

This needs to be stopped. We don't need bike trails that bad.

Yes, Mike Slavik (the commissioner for the Hastings area) was the only commissioner who voted "no" to take our property. We will continue to support/vote for Mike. He is one of the "Good" guys. :)

This family purchased the land = theirs

This land legally belongs to this family and what they do with it is up to them. For elected officials to try and take this land by any other means is less than honorable. This is not governing your people. It is a form of abuse and bullying at a time when the city should do the right thing and lead by example. Is there a shortage of riverside parks in this state?
