Help Save the Drews/Liljedahl/Mauch Private Property from Condemnation by Dakota County!

I suggest "taking" Steve Sullivan's house for 30% of it's value and build some public restrooms so we can all take a shit where he lays his head.

Just saw this on the news and we are appalled at this and Dakota County. This is for a flipping trail and park ... Shame on you.

This is an absolute abuse of eminent domain. Its not as if the local government wants to build a road or hospital or airport that can't be located elsewhere. There should be no legal method for any government entity to take people's property for somethin as frivolous as a damn bike trail.

Anyone involved in this decision should lose their jobs

Dakota County cannot use funding from the Federal Land Access Program (FLAP) and use eminent domain! The County is violating federal law:

SEC. 1302. ADVANCE ACQUISITION OF REAL PROPERTY INTERESTS. (a) Real Property Interests.--Section 108 of title 23, United States Code, is amended-- ``(3) State certification.--A State requesting Federal funding for an acquisition of a real property interest shall certify in writing, with concurrence by the Secretary, that-- ``(A) the State has authority to acquire the real property interest under State law; and ``(B) the acquisition of the real property interest-- ``(vii) will be acquired through negotiation, without the threat of condemnation;

Property rights are included in our "rights, privileges, and immunities". You must file suit in federal court against Steve Sullivan, Dakota County park director, each individual county commissioner, and Dakota County. They have conspired to deprive you of your civil rights. They do not have sovereign immunity. They will lose all federal funding, not just federal funding related to this project. How awful that a government can just decide it wants to take something rightfully owned by a family.

Government should not be given the right to just take because they are upset. This family should be able to enjoy this land for years to come

eminent domain for a bike trail? The county wants to take their linheritence so some idiot with spandex can ride alog the river?

There are enough bike paths and parks. This family worked for this piece of the "American Dream" Do Not Trespass!!

As a home owner in hastings mn and a mother of 4 children. We will not use this property for recreation if it gets taken from a family. That is a property that someone in their family worked very hard to have for his family to share.

Please Don't let the Dakota County take the property from the Drews. It has so many family memories and history with it. What happened to the land of the brave and home of the free, not to free when the Dakota County forces them to give up the porperty that is thiers
