My son uses both the lollipop men in SWF . He is autistic and I will only let him go to school on his own if he uses the services these men provide. It's not just for parents and small children . The vulnerable people in society use these services too and depend on them to help with independace

I use his crossing a lot and I think without it the risk of serious accidents will increase. Each accident estimated to cost 50k and each death costs society £1 million. In taking away this service
Essex are taking unnecessary risk for saving a few pounds. There are other areas in the budget that would be used to save money.

No one should be forced out of a job especially Brian because he can teach kids to cross the roads safely as well as stop accidents which could occur.

Brian is well loved and liked by all, and many children use him both morning & afternoon, to cross the road at his spot due to heavy traffic from school runs and morning commuters! My kids don't use the crossing but Brian still knows them and says hello to them if he sees them, as they attend Elmeood school !!

This is a main road that runs through south woodham ferrers that many children everyday use. It's a 40mph road and can at times be dangerous to cross! I live right next to the road and unfortunately have seen accidents happen (which was at a weekend) so there was no lollipop man present. I can only imagine how many lives have been saved by having him there during the school runs
