7/22 UPDATE - VACATION BEACH HOME OWNER Rita O’Flynn IS APPEALING RRRP&D FROM PURCHASING 17448 RIVER LANE. PLEASE HELP SIGN OUR PETITION TO SAVE OUR LOCALS BEACH! THE APPEAL DATE WILL NOW BE HELD IN AUGUST 2022.
6/24 UPDATE - WE SENT OUR SIGNATURES AND PUBLIC COMMENTS TO THE RRR&PD ON FRIDAY, JUNE 24TH. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO SIGNED AND SUPPORTED OUR CAUSE. NO MORE SIGNATURES ARE NEEDED AT THIS TIME.
To Russian River Recreation & Park District:
Our beloved locals beach is currently up for sale at 17444 River Lane and 17448 River Lane. We are uniting together as a neighborhood in support of your department purchasing these two parcels which will guarantee public access to this land. These parcels of land have given the residents of Vacation Beach access to picnicking, kayaking and swimming in the Russian River for many generations. We would like RRRPD to purchase these two parcels so our children, our future, can continue to enjoy one of the few public beaches left on the Russian River.
“We all treasure memories because they allow us to relive delightful times in our lives. Memories become stories that we tell hundreds and thousands of times throughout our life. The beautiful thing about our memories is that, not only are they beautiful to us, they are also beautiful to others.”
Is this anything quite as blissful than soaking up the views of towering redwood trees, basking in the California sunshine and watching both children and adults frolicking in the river?
We, The People of California & Local Home Owners:
Please sign this petition in support of Russian River Recreation & Park District purchasing below parcels. They have no intention of advertising this location, but only preserve the public access.

There have been three Board of Directors Meetings where 30+ Vacation Beach neighbors have joined and spoken in favor of RRRPD purchasing 17444 River Lane and 17448 River Lane.
There is an appeal scheduled in August 2022 for the purchase of 17448 River Lane due to one unfortunate neighbor who has been fighting local residents for years.
