It's not just about preserving the buildings, the creative communities need protecting to - thus needs to be done by ring fencing artists studio prices and local businesses.

I've never found anywhere else like Hackney Wick. A great community, a vibrant history and affordable space for creatives.

Hackney Wick has an independent spirit and has been a home to many inspiring artists for some years now. I can't think of anything worse than the area becoming taken over by property developers. I hope it maintains its character.

Artists and the like minded seek out affordable locations in tune with their creative voice. If they are constantly forced out of the few areas left that are open to them by the big money makers then there will be nowhere left to go and London will suffer dramatically.
This has been an area of small industry for hundreds of years, the businesses here have provided jobs and broader economic support to London for generations - please do everything you can to maintain this historic economically and culturally important district.
