Student media is an asset to Cardiff University and the student committee. It should be fully supported by both the staff and elected officers of the student body.

If the student media heads are doing fine without an elected VP, and to bring on someone else would disrupt it, there is no sense in doing this. Listen to the people who know what they're talking about, whom all of this actually concerns!

My time with student media (specifically York Student TV) offered me an amazing range of opportunities to develop a portfolio of productions, build up a great network of contacts, many of whom have gone on to remarkable things in professional TV, and to gain confidence in my own abilities while having a lot of fun. As a new starter in the TV industry, I would be in a significantly worse position if not for student media. Please don't let the same opportunities be denied to other students.
