As a former Scout, I believe it would be an excellent idea to naturally preserve this area for future generations. I always enjoyed our camping trips to Camp Strake.

There is enough concrete. Stop taking all of nature away from us.

Please dont destroy Camp Strake. It was donated and should be left alone. Lets keep some history in Conroe and preserve the park. The population growth in the area has taken enough of our wildlife. We will look like Houston with nothing but buildings and concrete. Please preserve this historic site.

I pass by this area at least 2 days a week and it breaks my heart to see what they are doing there, almost every time I pass by I see deer wandering around close to Loop 336 and I fear they will no longer have a place to live. We have enough housing developments and concrete. Do you people have any idea what you are doing to the environment????

City of conroe should forgo greed this time and show a little integrity and do the right thing. Let this land be..they are always talking about the future..set an example.
I always thought it was illegal to fill in any wetlands. Is this true, or only true on personal properties?

Designate this a Nature Preserve!
It is the right thing to do for the animals and people. You will be blessed for it.

This is a jewel that should be kept as a forested area in an area where population is exploding. Kids need to have places like this

It would be a great national forest. There isn't anything like that around Conroe. If were to be cultivated like Herman Park that would be amazing. Do it!

The commercialization of this area has exploded. There is no reason to include Camp Strake, please consider leaving this place in it's natural state.
