Everyone needs access to this island to enjoy in its true and unspoiled nature. This island is a piece of history and should be forever protected and never again desecrated by the dumping of dregde wastes.

As a city kid, that had seldomly experienced the outdoors, experiencing Burlington Island for the first time was magical. Taking a canoe across the Delaware and the lake is such a beautiful ride. My friends and I camped for the weekend, we jumped off the rope swing, and walked the trails. I met my husband that weekend 9 years ago today. We returned right before our wedding 4 years ago, and walked around wondering why all the dumping on such a gorgeous local piece of nature. It is our hope that Burlington Island can become accessible to the public in my lifetime so I that I can enjoy it freely with my husband, and children/grandchildren when we do have them. SAVE and MAKE Burlington Island beautiful and accessible again!
