I will be unavailable to sign in person on the two dates given so please accept my on line signature here - please preserve and save this not only CT landmark but National Historic landmark - what a history! and to have a licensed professional state the house still has good "bones" and could be renovated makes the reason to save it all the more important. thank you

Many thanks to Dale Plummer who worked tirelessly on the Historic Commission for decades and has signed here. That being said, continued preservation is needed for this area which is on such a great revitalization track. Tearing down a vital part of history is not an option. It is not enough to have a recorded history, we need the physical buildings from the past to enrich our future.

New Londons greatest asset is the unique architectiral story her many buildings tell about our collective past. With each building lost, it is like losing a chapter of a great novel- We must do our best to champion these special places and recognize their value to the community and New Londons future.

New London has received significant state funding for the preservation of its historic downtown - of which Bank Street is an integral part. I went to Conn College - and when I was there exploring downtown was dangerous and avoided. Now it is safe and vibrant- thanks to the initiative of forward-thinking preservationists. Bank Street is a significant part of New London's fascinating story. Please don't dilute it by removing this important landmark. It can be repaired- but never replaced.

I strongly oppose demolition of the building at 130 Bank Street, New London. It is a considerable waste of "embodied energy" used to construct and maintain the structure over its life from harvesting the raw materials, production of construction materials, construction and building maintenance. Demolition is an unnecessary waste of energy for a salvageable building.
