The handsome Classic block slated for possible demolition situated in downtown New London on the Thames is not only regrettable it is very short sited. The archectectural beauty of that block is a great asset for telling the New London story ultimately an asset for increasing tourism.

Look at the building net door, saved in the 80s. Handsome and well cared for. 130 suffers from the same problem, dumb unsympathetic facade treatment. Anyone remember the net door building as the Flamingo, a scruffy bar?

Why should we believe his intentions to build ANYTHING in this location when his other properties in town are in such disrepair? He's a classic "slumloard" at best.
