I don't think he should be charged with a felony if that is his first time having any problems with the law at all he is a great kid and I think he definitely needs to be given a second chance

Made a mistake myself when I was 17 and charged as an adult. That petty charge has kept me from numerous of jobs and opportunities so I totally understand. God bless your family and I hope the D.A can realize he is a good kid and can be altering his future with a lousy decision! Good luck!

I think this is totally unfair to a child who has no history of trouble making. Do not ruin his life as a minor for a mistake that is already effecting his health.

Give him a second chance.... There are way worse offenders time and money need to be spent on... Not a first time offender...not because he was doing something wrong but because he was scared....!!!!!

Im sure if this was a young white male who is entitled to "White privilege" this would be a different story. There would be no need for this...he would of been scolded ordered to go through therapy and counseling...something his family is already doing for him. A Hispanic young man who has an opportunity to turn this unfortunate mistake into a life lesson and possibly be a role model for someone else. Sex offenders get a slap on the wrist and here the sysyem is trying to ruin a young HISPANIC man's life. They dont see the young person.. they only see his name.

I have known Antonio his whole life and he has always been a well mannered kid. He is one of my Granddaughter's best friends. He has been at our house many times and is always extremely polite to my husband and I.

This seems extremely excessive for a 16 yr old with a clean record and otherwise exemplary behavior. How exactly is labeling a kid a felon for something like this going to help ANYONE?

Please amend the charges brought against this child, all children make mistakes, please let this overbearing and traumatic experience be enough that this child must go through, or bring the charge down to a misdemeanor!
